NICU & PICU

The hospital provides level III Intensive medical care for the newborns. Our NICU is equipped with Latest American Newport Ventilators, CPAP machines and Monitoring devices to measure continuous Oxygen Saturation, blood Pressure, heart rate, ECG and arterial blood gas in the newborns. Our staff is highly experienced and skilled to cater to the newborns in the intensive care.
Our NICU is equipped with World Class Radiant Heat Warmers and Phototherapy units (both single and double surface) for management of jaundice in newborns. German infusion pumps (Fresenius) are routinely used to infuse medicines and I/V fluids, which require timed instillation to avoid side effects of dangerous medicines in the process of attaining desired effects. Exchange transfusion for the treatment of severe jaundice is routinely being done in the hospital with over 2000 newborns successfully treated. Surfactant therapy for premature newborns who are born with hyaline membrane disease (lungs not developed because of premature delivery) are routinely being done with very good results.
Staff nurses are dedicated to newborn care and are well familiar with early signs of neonatal problems. Portable X ray machines, ultrasound , echocardiography are available for the newborns in the NICU. Nursery hygiene norms are strictly followed by the staff and the doctors.
Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) is well equipped with centralized oxygen, suction, air conditioning, monitors to check continuous blood pressure, Oxygen saturation, ECG & Heart rate and ventilators. Separate state of art cubicles have been created to maintain privacy and comfort to very sick children. Dedicated staff nurses and doctors work 24 hrs. to treat at their very best. Ventilators are used in very serious cases who require respiratory support. Arterial Blood Gas analyzer helps us in treating such critical children successfully.
